FAQ When is the October Prime Day 2026 sale? Amazon has two Prime Day events: one in the summer and one in October.
This year, October Prime Day will be a two-day event held from Tuesday, Oct. 6, through the end of Wednesday, Oct. 7. Are SSDs really cheaper during Prime Day? They can be, but the best deals might not be at Amazon.
Competing retailers like Best Buy and Walmart will often run sales around the same time as Amazon’s summer and October Prime Day events, and while prices might be the same for a lot of items, you can find steeper discounts if you keep a sharp eye out. SanDisk vs Samsung: which should I buy on sale? While both are great brands for storage drives, SanDisk has more options than Samsung.
Not just with actual capacity, but with form factors, read/write speeds, and levels of data protection and recovery. SanDisk is also more generous with its discounts than Samsung, so it’s much easier to find high-capacity drives at affordable prices. How did we choose these Prime Day deals?
I chose internal and external SSDs that I and other ZDNET experts have covered with reviews and best lists for high-quality recommendations, and I did my best to only feature deals that were at least 20% off. I also checked multiple websites to find the best discounts on the best-rated SSDs. Where can I find the best Prime Day deals?
ZDNET editors will be tracking October Prime Day deals before, during, and after the sale. Here are our favorite deals across categories now.
